My Testimony

I wrote this out and posted it on facebook last October but i thought I'd make it my first post on a new blog. On this blog i'm going to post

stuff about my life as a Christian and just whats on my heart. and what God putting on my heart!

I grow up in a Christian home, where I went to Indian Hills Community Church and was homeschooled. I don’t remember much of my childhood, just little bits and pieces like going to church every Sunday and knowing the right answers.
And then came the time around 6th grade when some people I had known had just past away. And this scared me because I knew I wasn’t saved and I knew that meant I was headed for hell.. this scared me to my knees where I prayed “the Prayer” but not with my heart fully understanding what this meant. So I went on with life thinking if I died I’d go to heaven.
Then in 7th grade I got scared again, because my life wasn’t like my other church friends, during church they all listened and wrote notes while I didn’t really care, I’d write notes to my other unsaved friends and play games. So once again I prayed, and this time I was for sure it was real! I went on the next two years trying to read and pray and asking people how there walk was and just playing the role of a Christian. And if anyone asked “If you died tonight where would you go” in a heartbeat I’d say “Heaven!”
Then freshmen year came around and I still thought I was saved, I loved Cubbies on Wednesdays and Mansion Builders on Thursdays! Then on a Thursday night Duane Nelsen was teaching our Mansion Builders that night, and I can’t remember to well what he was teaching on just that, When God saves us it’s not just from hell but from our sin and who we are as sinners. That kinda hit me, but then I just kept going on with the evening. After study I was talking to a friend and for some reason I got really mad at him, so he finally just stopped me and asked “How can you be acting like this after we had a message like that?” And that’s when it truly it me! I knew at the very moment I was not saved and I was running to the gates of hell. So that day , April 11th, 2008, I prayed the true prayer of life! And Christ really came in my life! Since then I’ve seen growth not as much as I’d like but I am growing one step at a time. But one of the most amazing things to me was high school came my junior year, I meat a kid name Tim Gardner and for some reason I felt like I needed to share my story of salvation with him. So I went on a walk with him and another friend, Hailey K, and I asked him to share his testimony but he wanted me to share mine first, so I did. Then after that he told me that he didn’t really have a testimony. And we talked and walked for a while just talking to him about it. (this was Monday or Tuesday of the camp week) And the rest of the week I prayed for him. Everyday I asked my small group to pray for his salvation and Friday night at the bonfire when Tim came walking up during the fire and told me that he just had gotten saved. That was AMAZING and seeing the change in his life is 100% amazing!

Salvation is though faith in Christ alone. God sent his son to earth as a babe to grow up on earth sinless then die on the cross for all of our sins. If you are not saved I beg of you to ask him into your life. Don’t know how PLEASE ask me! Or call my church (402)-483-4541
